Need help to cover up marks left by acne with make-up; need advice?

I'm planning to get a concealer. Is there anything else that i need? (something that won't worsen the acne)Need help to cover up marks left by acne with make-up; need advice?
This is a double part answer: What to do right now to hide it and one commercial and another home remedy for acne/acne scars.

1. Covering it now: They make a special topical makeup for dark under eye circles that works very well. It has a green tint which counteracts the dark red/purplish color of acne... and trust me, once it's applied, blended, etc-- it does not look green at all and does work.

2. Long Term: That annoying TV commercial for PROACTIVE. The stuff actually does work miracles on skin if used exactly as the directions say.

3. If you don't have the money for that, a few home remedies that help are: Making your own facial mask with simple oatmeal. Use any cream/any brand (even the cheap ones) that contain vitamin K (at night) and for those whose acne is brought on by stress..... if you just add one extra hour to your sleep regime, it will help your skin out. As well as making sure that your pillow cases are pure cotton as your face touches it frequently and silk/satin or other non organic fabrics can either irritate the skin or not let it ';breath'; which causes sweating while sleeping which leads to clogged pours.

I hope some of this helps! And again, don't be afraid of the concealer made with the green tint, it in NO way looks green once applied and blended, covered with your favorite powder or base. (LIGHTLY) If you apply too much, it can almost draw attention to it. AND there is yet another cheapo way to minimize the acne: Use the new self-tanning aerosol (sp?) sprays because they go on smoothly without effort, do NOT streak, do NOT look orange/fake and do NOT stain clothing and make acne MUCH LESS noticable. :)Need help to cover up marks left by acne with make-up; need advice?
get a clear (transluscent) powder, it won't hurt %26amp; the powder will help dry up the excess oil
there is the cream mederma for scars that you can get at walmart that will reduce the marks to your face also be careful with the concealer because it can clog your pores creating more acne my suggestion is to go to the mall and ask the people in the make up department you dont have to buy their stuff but they may have some helpfull suggestions
Acne Free makes a good acne scar reducing package. It is 2 steps

step 1 is a thin clearish blue mask that tingles a little

step 2 is a lotion with pH balancers

Together they really get rid of acne scars. I had really bad acne scars, and since i have started using this about once a week, sometimes more my scars have almost all gone away.

You can get it at a drug store. I highly recommend it!
If its just the red you are trying to get rid of try using Visine red eye relief eye drops and put a few drops on it to clear away the redness and stop the inflamed skin. Concealers don't really work to be honest, they just make little clay bumps and on a boy especially that wont look pleasant. Have you tried proactive? It really works!
I use Bare Minerals make up to cover my acne scars. It is all natural makeup. I bought it on Sephora.com
You can try dermablend.

They make really good coverage for all skin types - normal to skin that's burned, scarred badly.
yes, you can go to a dematologist and get your face checked up.
