I need some make up advice?

okay so lately i have been trouble with my make up, it never looks perfect! I have big (round) brown eyes ..and when i put eyeliner on it makes my eyes look even more round and sleepy looking! any advice? pictures? i'm also having trouble with mascara because my eyelashes are kinda short, i always use an eyelash curler..but my eyelashes alwyas end up looking messy, ugh! my face overall is smooth and clean, the only trouble is the make up!

help =]I need some make up advice?
I have a great solution for you. Instead of putting tons of eyeliner, use a nude color eyepencil and line the inner part of your eyes with this. Then apply a single coat of mascera to your lashes and use a grey/charcoal or chocolate color eyeliner and line just the outer corners of your eyes (not on the inner part...just below and on your lash line.

This will brighten up your brown eyes and make them look not so sleepy!

Don't wear any makeup. As a guy I prefer the natural look on ladies. If you have to wear makeup, be conservative and only wear the very basics. You'll look better.
It sounds like you may not be applying your eyeliner correctly, do you have any pictures so we can see what you're doing wrong?
It sounds like your having trouble applying it or it might just be that it doesn't suit you.....!!!
Try false eyelashes, they really arnt hard to put on.
don't use eyeliner. only use one coat of mascare and try not curling it...

  • Hi. please give me some make-up advice :)?

i'm a guy that's still trying to learn everything, lol. help me out please. should my lipstick and nail polish match. thanks so much. yes i'm very feminine. hope that's ok. thanks.Hi. please give me some make-up advice :)?
Is not mandatory but it is nice. In fact you might adopt that as your very own trend.. Looks really good with dark lip-nail color as a deep eggplant .. but I emphasize, is not mandatory. Well groomed, natural polished nails work well with any lipcolor you wanna try, and you don't have to bother when you're in hurry.. of course, if both nails and lips hues are not in the same family of colors (cool-warm) they might look awful (e.g. fucsia pink lips and orange nails)... Neutrals work well even in a different intensity.. Hope this can be a guideline for you, but remember, you might try different looks, take pictures and discover what looks awesome on your very own outfit, mood and combination of tones (hair, skin, eyes).. Enjoy!!Hi. please give me some make-up advice :)?
no it should not it depends on your skin tone

and yes it should match your eye shadow
    Tips For Makeup

Women have always been crazy about make up and skin care. But it is a foolish idea to treat make up and skin care as different issues. Because, unless your skin is supple and firm, your make up does not add any spark.

Given below are a few tips for great skin and good makeup:

    1. Whenever you are purchasing any cosmetic product, first look at the product quality and durability because they should not affect the texture of your skin.

    2. To test the reliability of the product, first apply it on the earlobes to check if it suits your skin texture.

    3. Moreover do not use items that have crossed the expiry date. Some of the products if not stored as suggested get spoilt easily.

    4. Maintain the entire make up equipments because you use them often. Cleanliness is an essential activity of skin care. As part of cleanliness, keep your hair and yourself clean always.

    5. Even the maintenance of nails is important. Polish them with a coat of polish and after polishing them always rub with oil at the edges.

    6. If you have sunken eyes then use liquid eyeliner instead of using a pencil.

    7. Do not apply any harsh chemical without the consultation of your physician, especially if you are having a skin disease. Do not try to slit off your pimples or acne. It may start to bleed.

    8. When you want to remove all your makeup, do not just wash your face but apply a make up remover

    9. When you are using a deodorant see that there is a distance between the pack nozzle and your skin.
yes your nails and polish should match plus your toe nails also. Just be yourself. play around with different colors until you find the one that fits youl
No your lipstick and nailpolish shouldn't match at all.

What should match is your eyeshadow to your skin tone for a very natural look.
i had the same question a few weeks aggo well..

pencil or crayon: hold ur bottom lid wit one finger from ur opposite hand .. and use the hand that ur going to use to apply eyeliner to apply it right above the eyelashes.. or above them - believe me u'll see where to apply it ..

for liquid: u need to concentrate dont think about anything else except for ur eye and the eyeliner make sure that ur balanced..
No fashion isnt always about matching. You could have silver polish on and pink lipstick.
If your toes are visible (sandal)- they better match the shoe color... the nail polish should be a lighter shade or the same color, ... the lipstick color should most of all match your makeup choice and lighter or darker depending on what time of the day it is. (lighter and almost invisible during the day... and more generous for evening/night)
If you're really into makeup and wanting to look as best as possible, I can give you a list of a few books that are must haves. These are (for me, anyway) basically the Bibles of Beauty.

The Art of Makeup by Kevyn Aucoin

    Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin

    Face Forward by Kevyn Aucoin

The best thing about these books is that they're much more into showing you great professional techniques than just trying to sell you some ';must have'; miracle makeup product. They even have sections specifically for males who wear makeup.

You can get makeup tips and order copies of the books from Kevyn Aucoin's website:

    http://www.kevynaucoin.com/

    Good Luck!
you wear whatever you like. the only rule i go by is, i never match my eyeshadow with my shirts, thank you kevin aucoin may he rest in peace. good luck and HAVE FUN!
your lipstick and nails should match if u can it would look cute! :-) yay!
Your nail polish and lipstick does not need to match...although it might be a nice touch. Keep it within the same color family and you will be great!
    Matching colors isn't important.

    Make up advice?

my dad is deciding to let me use make up but i don't know how to ? like i know how to use lipskick and all but nothing else, can u help me?

    P.S i don't have a mom to help, and i am 13 years old.thx!Make up advice?
well since your avatar has brown eyes i'm gonna guess you have brown eyes.

since your so young i wouldn't wear much, or you'll end up looking way older then you want to.

try using a soft pink or purple or brown/tan shade of eye shadow, just put it on your lid up to the crease ( where your eye lid creses when u open your eyes)

if you want to use eye liner then i would go with a brown and put it in a small lin on your top eye lid, just long your eyelash line.

and if you really want to use mascara i would use brown or clear, black will be to much for you, being 13, i think.Make up advice?
ok im 13 too and jus started usin makeup and its bout practice for eyeliner i cant tell u wat color cause i dotn no wat u look like, wen u put it on u put it above ur eyelashes ont he bottom eyelid not the top then ur gonna wat to rub it in wit qtip so u can blend it and always shrpen it wit a pencil sharpner works liek the lil ones and makesure u dont puton to much start wit a lil and then see how that looks for mascara try a lil and take an eyelash curler and press it down on ur eyelashes and drag up but not too hard and if ur usin foundation to test if its ur color hold it up to ur skin make sure its a tiny bit darker tahn ur skin and dont u se too much and scince ur 13 makesureu wash ur every night and dont put tooo much on lil goes a long way for eye shadow i say buy oen taht has bunch of colors and makesure to blend atht too casue ur wearin other eye makeup soo it will make u l;ook liek a whore if u dont vlend it belive me lol liek i said before practice like oint he weeekends so wen the week starts ull look good in school and it wont take u long to apply it
Hi! The best rule of thumb for a girl your age is ';Less is More!';. Don't try to wear dark reds. Go for light pinks or a lip gloss. Try Loreal lipsticks in the green tubes (at Walgreens). Look for the frosted shades. Also get yourself some Maybelline mascara (the pink and green tube) and an eyelash curler (Walgreens). Curl your lashes according to the directions on the package then apply a tiny amount of mascara and you'll be amazed at how much this will open up your eyes. Don't try using eyeshadows just yet. You're only 13 so you don't need alot of makeup. For you a little lip color and mascara is all you need! You'll look fabulous dahling!

Don't feel bad about not having a mom to help - my teenage son doesn't have a father and I had to teach him how to shave!

Oh! Get yourself a little compact of Covergirl powder in a neutral shade. Just a light layer of powder can cover shine and even out your skin tone. Then you can dab on a tiny bit of powder blush. Just experiment at home and always look at yourself in the mirror using natural light (by a window). The natural light will show you if you put way too much makeup on!
A 13 year old girl shouldn't wear too much makeup or she'll look ridiculous, so just use the bare minimum.

First, swipe on a coat of brown mascara, starting at the root to tip to look the longest. Try Covergirl Lash Exact in the purple bottle. The you can get a nice pink or clear lipgloss and smooth on a little bit. You can try Maybelline Shiny Licious lipgloss, it comes in tons of colors to choose from. Then if you have something you want to cover up you can get a concealer from Neutrogena. You can get all of this at a drugstore for around $15. The main thing is to not over do it.
eyeshadow.....put colors that are basically opposite of your skin tone. if your skin is like..peach, you can basically use any color of the rainbow. don't put it beyond the eyebrow bone, which if you feel, is just right on top of your eye lid. don't put any colors that are close to your skin tone.

in regards to blush, smile first and put it on the apple of your cheek and brush it in an upwards motion towards the tops of your ears.

only put mascara on the top lashes, but eyeliner you can put on top and bottom.

    have fun!!

    and i hope i helped!
go to marykay.com/dluce . click on ';whats new'; and scroll down to application tips.
yes im lvl 2 sorry i dont no how to help with that
Well you must be beautiful the way you are but scince you want to use makeup well you can use blush which is really easy to use you just dip the brush in the blush and but it on your face. Probobly the best blushes where you can get is in CVS or Macys. There is also eyeshadow that you can you which is basically the same like you dip the little brush and put it onto your eye.
try sites like seventeen and elle. they'll tell you everything you need to know!

    hope that works for you!
mascara is really easy all you got to do is take the brush put it at the roots of your eyelashes then pull up. eyeliner is alittle more difficult. it takes practice but you'll get it. stick is easier than liquid. just go slow start at the side of where your nose is and make a straight line. or try making lines and then connecting them that helped me when i has starting. foundation (if you need it) loreal makes bare minerals and it looks good and verr light. just apply the bruch to your face in circles. eye shadow just put it on your lid with a brush really easy. and just a little lip gloss. hope i helped :-) good luck
I don't have a mom. and I'm 12, My dad lets me put make up on, i can put on every thing but mascara, and every tI'me i try (because my dad's girlfriend brought me some) i blink, and you cant blink.

    So im hopeless.
Well I'm not sure what type of skin you have. If you have clear skin don't worry about using foundation. You can buy some shimmer powder, Covergirl has a new one, and dust a little on your face. That can make your skin look very nice.

You don't want to wear a lot of make up. Less is much better! You should get a nice eyeshadow color. Covergirl and Mayebelline has some pretty colors. You can pick out a light color, Covergirl Champagne, and put a little bit over your eye lids. Put a little bit of mascara, Mayebelline Great lash and some pretty pink lip gloss and you're set!

Don't worry about! It's not that hard and in time you will be a pro!

    Make up advice anyone?!?!?

What is the best make up to cover up zits and scars on your face?

If your skin is light brown.

    like a pacific islandar color.

I've never really used cover up make up so i'm new to this.

and keep the prices of the make up low too?Make up advice anyone?!?!?
Use a mineral foundation... I like bare minerals but they sell drugstore ones too. This will cover up your imperfections and possibly improve your skin. Also, buy a good concealer and dap it on the zits and scars. Dont cake it on though, because than it will be more noticableMake up advice anyone?!?!?
Hmm, I've got the same problem as you. I'm a tan filipino, and it's been hard to cover those pesky things up. Now, I'll be honest with you. Taking care of your skin is serious business. Getting the wrong products can mess it up forever, ya know? Even though you want it to be a product with a low price, you have to realize that anything you put on your face is like making an investment. Bare Minerals is good (so I hear), and it's got a good rep. Check it out. Arbonne has a great line for acne called Clear Advantage. Makeup Forever @ Sephora has phenomenal foundations that won't clog pores. If you still need help, Sephora employees are more than happy to lend you a hand in finding something right for you.
If you use a mineral powder or foundation on your zits, it will most of the time cover it up well and not make it worse. I like Bare Minerals- it's lightweight and works really well. Also, look for products with organic ingredients. They don't normally cause any more harm to pimples and blemishes. Hope that helps!
you shouldn't do that it will make the zits worse, and stay longer.

i just have to wait it out, it sucks but it is life.

    Make up advice for brunette?!?

    I have a Mediterranean skin color and i m a brunette.

I would like to know what kind of make up would suit me if i wore a red dress for a formal event like the prom?

    ASAP

Thanx a lotMake up advice for brunette?!?
okay lets start with your face.

use a foundation with a concealer either lancome foundation and concealer or Maybelline foundation (in the light blue tube) and Neutrogena concealer stick.

now to the eyes. i recommend a green eyeshadow or a brown shimmery eyeshadow. (lancome has a great deep green and MAC has a good shimmery brown) get some regular eyeliner and put it on your inner lids. and take liquid eyeliner and put a very thin line on your top lid. (black)

for your cheeks i would get a very subtle cream blush. dip your finger in it, put three spots going up your cheek bone and rub it in, in a circular motion.

lastly the lips. i would recommend just a lip gloss in a peachy shade. (lancome-juicy tube-';first class'; or for a cheaper solution N.Y.C- ';sand'; and top it with jane ';clear';)

hope i could help email me if you need anything else!Make up advice for brunette?!?
well you should avoidlike candy apple or bright red, go for a darker or more burgundy color, for the makeup you want neutral colors that wont fight your dress since red is a dominant color, so for shadow shimery chocolate, taupe, tan, golden brown shimmerey beige or ceam would go great aspeciallt to bring out the brownbone, for liner you could do like a smokey dark brown and blend and smudge it, or you can do like classic femme fatale winged black look w/ liquid liner either one would look stunning, you can go for a pink blush not to light just medium, or a more sienna rasberry color. lipstick you can either harmonise with the red or match it, either one of these will go with the rest of the colors i suggested. so you can match use a meduim red w/ brown udertones, and put sheer gold gloss over it or you can be more subtle with a nudish color heres some examples for the overall look for your natural colors:

I think a shimmery gold eyeshadow and red sheer lipgloss would be beautiful! use a khaki green eyeliner and black mascara.
I think a dark purple smokey eye would look beautiful on your skin. Go for that.
Bronzer for glow mascara for eyes light eyeshadow pearl or lime and red lipstick.....
add a pop of diff. color. like a SHEER lime green eyeshadow or something. have fun
any shade of purple looks good on brunettes.
    i was thinking a sheer silverish-white maybe?

    Make-up advice...?

Apart from a little lipgloss, I've never really worn any make up, where in london could I go to get free make-up advice?Make-up advice...?
Most cosmetic counters nowadays. Boots have specialists there who can advise as well as show you how to apply make-up. So do Debenhams. However, each counter will only use and advise on the brands they represent so don't be pushed into buying an expensive brand. You can get the advice you need (ie the shade of foundation that suits you, eyeshadows etc etc) and then go to one of the cheaper, value for money brands to test out what you've learnt.Make-up advice...?
In most department stores the beauticians on each boutique such as Dior, Chanel, Benefit and Clinique, they all have people that are willing to help. Even if you just look at a product that you are interested in (or even if you have no intention of buying it) you can always just ask the best way to apply the product and they will always give advice.

www.maccosmetics.co.uk %26lt;%26lt;%26lt; i use this make up an they are really helpful and on the website they have tips and a section on 'creating the right look'. Hope this has helped you x x
Although male, I can suggest that the best make up advice is to go organic! Im not a hippy, friend of the earth or anything else, I just know that the chemicals in all the main brand cosmetics will cause major long term skin digeneration, and more importantly spots!!
Most make-up counters offer you free make-up lessons and they give you plenty of advice so you can choose the right products. Dont start to slap loads of it on though, natural is beautiful.
Go to Selfridges, it has a huge selection of brands and I've found those assistants to be the nicest.

Alternatively the most freebies can be bagged at Harvey Nichols.
most cosmetics counters are more than happy to give free advice. But don't be pressured into buying stuff.
I work for a cosmetic house in boots someone on the counters can help you. in boots its free unlike the department stores. They can advise you on colours etc but only for that brand but if your looking for a cheaper version try no7 or maxfactor asthey have consultants on as well.

    Hope this helps.
well, if u hav pale skin gold eyeshadow works wonders!

Go and have have a complimentary make over done by professionals at the mall. There you will be taught what make up is good for your skin, facial structure and complexion. The make up artist will also teach you how to apply and properly remove the make up to protect your skin. You don't want to apply the make in a way that attracts unwanted attention. Did you know there is an eye shadow for every season or different times of the year? A professional make up artist will share this information with you.
Blue- blue is a very common eyeshadow color. Blues are all about being noticed, not natural. But blue doesn't necessarily go great with every ones eye color. blue goes best with brown eyes because they are so opposite that brown eyes will pop.

Silver/gray- Silver/gray brings on heavy metals and drama. Silver/gray are usually used as evening shades. It looks great with blue or brown eyes.

Brown- brown or bronze gives off a great natural glow when worn properly. It looks best with dark brown eyes and hazel or light brown eyes depending on the shade of brown.

Green- green is a color that was inspired by nature. One of springs best colors, it looks wonderful with Light brown or bluish-green eyes.

Purple- signature color. Looks awesome with brown or green eyes.
I think you should post a picture of yourself without makeup on. But with the information you gave me, I think you should wear dark makeup or cream colored makeup, makeup should blend in, so that it isn't extremely obvious that you're wearing makeup, if you look at professional makeup, that's how it is. Maybe brown eye shadow should work
    MEDIUM SKIN, BROWN EYES

    Eye Shadow:

You'll look best in medium green, medium purple, plum, medium blue, medium gray or blue-gray shades of eye shadow. Choose one shade only to use at a time and apply it all over eyes, from lash-line to brows.

    hope it helps!!!
I know pop! colors are tempting, especially since you're young, but if you want something that looks tasteful, I'd go for more natural shades, like dark brown.
I think a nice purple shimmer would look good...not too dark maybe more like a nice lavender color...I think that that color looks really good on mexican girls, also gold looks good too.

how about if u wear mascara and black eye liner?

i think it would look better than eye shadow...

or if u really wanna wear eye shadow u should go with yellow!
plums and browns and pinks. go to a department store and have the lady at the clinique counter do your makeup :)
hey we are the same seriously im mexican and im 15,i use eyeshadow that almost matches my skin color like brown :)
I think liking the Jonas Brothers causes your face to look uglier than it really is.
    Bacon.
um im thinking brows and neutrals and also deep mauve u could probab;y a;so do a great smokey eye
All we need to knwo is your actualEYE COLOR.
    gold!!
    light pinks or a gold.
